FHCI Rugby goes to England!

I am writing on behalf of the FHCI community to acknowledge the tremendous efforts and results achieved by the Forest Hill Collegiate UK Tour Rugby Team on the eve of their upcoming trip.
The Fundraising Committee has raised $25,000 towards the trip to offset student costs. While the Committee members spearheaded the fundraising, the players have put in a great effort to raise funds through calendar sales and car washes. Thank you to all the members of the FHCI community who supported the team by purchasing a calendar or attending the car washes.
The players have also been practising with great determination in preparation for this once-in-a-lifetime trip. The team received a letter of acknowledgement and encouragement from our mayor, David Miller (attached). Mr. Naylor and Mr. Macdonald, the rugby team coaches, informed the players yesterday at their practice and handed out copies of the letter to each of them.
These young men are dedicated to their team and are working towards a common goal, which clearly identifies FHCI as a school that strives for excellence.
I am sure you join me in wishing the Rubgy Team a wonderful trip and great success in their upcoming games in England.
