2014-2015 timetable for returning students
On Thursday, students received their timetables for next year. You may request a change of semesters to balance the timetable. The change will be made where space is available, provided the change does not increase an already large class. Please have your child book an appointment time with one of our counselors.
Summer school sign up
Summer courses will again be offered at Forest Hill in July as well as at many other TDSB schools. Dates are July 2 to July 29. If your child wants to take a new-credit course, s/he should already have signed up. If you think your child may receive a final mark in a compulsory course between 35 and 49, or received a mark in that range in Semester 1, then I recommend your child sign up now for an upgrading course.
Students must apply online themselves in order to register for an upgrading course at summer school. Classes fill quickly and students may not be able to get the course they need or a location that is close to home if they wait until the last week of June to sign up.
If your child signs up and ends up passing the course, or receives a mark below 35%, we will remove the name from the summer course.
The instructions for applying are in the attachment. Once the student has applied, s/he will be sent an email with a parent/guardian consent form for you to print, sign and return to Guidance so that the student can be approved for the summer school course.
