SENT ON BEHALF OF MS. AITCHISON
This week at FHCI
1. United Way Week: Monday October 27 to Friday, October 31
All students will be participating in fund raising efforts for the United Way and its partner agencies. Each home form has been given the task of developing a fund-raising project for this week, so it will be great to see what creative activities (including home baking!) they come up with. Please encourage your child to participate in the activities and make a donation to United Way.
2. Markbook Printouts: Monday October 27 to Friday, October 31
During this week, students will receive an individual Markbook printout from each of their teachers. Please be sure to go through the reports to determine where you child is succeeding and where more help is required. Our teachers are all available for extra help and occasionally a little nudge is all that is required to kick-start improvement. If you have questions about a Markbook printout, please be sure to contact your child’s teacher at 416-303-1860 x 0. I am also here to help.
3. Late Opening: Tuesday, October 28.
We will follow the Late Opening Schedule on Page 44 of the FHCI Agenda Book.
4. Photo Retake Day: Wednesday, October 29
If your child was absent from school on Picture Day, then your child will be called on Wednesday in Period 1 or 2 to have the picture taken then. If your child did have a photo taken and you were not happy with the photo, your child will be re-photographed on Wednesday at lunch.
5. Term 1 Civics Final Exam: Thursday, October 30
Students taking Civics this semester will write their Civics exam during class on Thursday. Please be sure your child attends.
6. Term I ends: Friday, October 31.
