• Report cards
The Toronto District School Board continues local negotiations with its secondary school teachers, represented by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF). OSSTF is continuing a legal selected withdrawal of services that began on November 4 of last year. As a result, secondary teachers will not be completing the Progress Report scheduled for distribution at FHCI on March 9. You are invited to contact teachers directly to discuss the progress of your child.
OSSTF has indicated they will be completing the Provincial Report Card, including marks and attendance records, scheduled for distribution at FHCI on April 22 but will not be providing Learning Skills or Comments.
• Hockey
Congratulations to the Boys Hockey Team who played in the City Championship for their division on Friday and brought home another medal to add to our school collection.
• Signing Out
Please remind your child that students who wish to leave school during the school day, resulting in absence from class, must sign out in the office before leaving the school.
• Course Selection
All students must complete the course selection process by Tuesday, March 1. This includes five steps:
1) Logon to “MyBlueprint”. Students received step-by-step logon instructions earlier this month. Contact Guidance if your child needs assistance with the logon.
2) Select courses: normally eight courses for students entering Grade 9-11 and six courses for students entering Grade 12.
3) Print of the course selection sheet.
4) Add parent/guardian signature.
5) Submit the signed course selection sheet to Guidance by Tuesday, March 1.
• Toques, Locker Shelves
The School Council still has a few toques ($15) and locker shelves ($10) available for purchase through the Main Office.
